It was traditionally used as an incense in religious ceremonies and for enhancing meditation. Sandalwood is very beneficial to the skin; it can help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and it promotes a healthy, smooth complexion. This relaxing oil has a harmonising and calming effect which reduces tension and confusion and is ideal for use in depression, hectic daily lifestyles and states of fear, stress, nervous exhaustion, chronic illness and anxiety. Sandalwood has a sweet, woody aroma that can enhance mood and is frequently used in meditation for its grounding effects. This sweet, woody aroma of Indian Sandalwood is a reflection of the soothing benefits of the essential oil.
How to Use: For Aromatic use add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a burner, diffuser, aroma stone, or aroma steam, and inhale its invigorating scent.
For Tropical Use Dilute with a carrier oil to minimise any skin sensitivity and apply to desired area. Essential Oils should always be diluted with base oils, also always perform a patch test for a safer usage.
Also you can add few drops to bathwater will give a beautiful sweet fragrance to your bath water and enhance your bath time experience.
Blending: Sandalwood oil blends particularly well with Bergamot, Black pepper, Geranium, Lavender, Myrrh, Rose, Vetivert and Ylang-Ylang.
